It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Cormier nee MacArthur announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in her home in Upper Ferry surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn nine children: Gerard (Melissa), Calvin (Patricia), Karen Farrell (Brian), Danny (Maureen), Patricia O'Farrell (Stan), Loretta Johnson (Ernie), Robert (Sharon), Bernard (Brenda) and Gordon (Michelle), 22 grandchildren: Tracy, Darryl, Brooklyn, Dean, Darren, Shannon, Sheryl, Travis, Melissa, Robert, Shawn, Erin, Mallory, Cecil, Annette, Robyn, Shane, Tiffany, Randell, Randall, Bradey and Brittany. 18 great-grandchildren: Tanner, Janelle, Jaxon, Blake, Harris, Cohen, Maren, Kian, Rylan, Caeli, Rory, William, Ethan, Logan, Avery, Cierra, Madden and Nicole. She also leaves to mourn brother Martin (Rhoda) MacArthur and sisters-in-law Marie MacArthur, Elizabeth MacArthur and Ann Compton along with and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Leo (2012), parents Allan MacArthur and Mary MacDonald, sister Loretta, and brothers Lewis, Frank, James, George, John, Dan, Sears and Gordon. Visitation will take place Tuesday, October 4th 7-9 pm with funeral Mass to follow on Wednesday, October 5th at 11 am at St Ann's Church in Upper Ferry with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
