MARGARET CECELIA CORMIER
November 21, 1927 – October 2, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Cormier nee MacArthur announces her peaceful passing on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in her home in Upper Ferry surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn nine children: Gerard (Melissa), Calvin (Patricia), Karen Farrell (Brian), Danny (Maureen), Patricia O’Farrell (Stan), Loretta Johnson (Ernie), Robert (Sharon), Bernard (Brenda) and Gordon (Michelle), 22 Grandchildren, Tracy, Darryl, Brooklyn, Dean, Darren, Shannon, Sheryl, Travis, Melissa, Robert, Shawn, Erin, Mallory, Cecil, Annette, Robyn, Shane, Tiffany, Randell, Randall, Bradey and Brittany and 18 Great Grandchildren: Tanner, Janelle, Jaxon, Blake, Harris, Cohen, Maren, Kian, Rylan, Caeli, Rory, William, Ethan, Logan, Avery, Cierra, Madden and Nicole. She also leaves to mourn brother Martin (Rhoda) MacArthur and sister in laws Marie MacArthur, Elizabeth MacArthur and Ann Compton along with and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Leo (2012), parents Allan MacArthur and Mary MacDonald, sister, Loretta, and brothers Lewis, Frank, James, George, John, Dan, Sears and Gordon. Visitation took place Tuesday October 4
7-9 pm with funeral mass followed on Wednesday October 5 at 11am at St Ann’s Church in Upper Ferry with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to Margaret’s care givers Doreen MacIsaac and Jenny Gale as well as her nurse Roxanne Gillam and Dr. Wendy Graham along with the home care nursing care staff Donna, Cathy and Jamie for their care and compassion.
