It is with heavy hearts that the family of James Mikisew Meyer announces his tragic passing on October 1, 2016 at the age of 23. James loved to hunt, fish, hike, play hockey and football, ski, mountain bike, canoe with Uncle Darrell & cousin Tanner, and experience the outdoors. He was a great teammate but a terrible opponent. His friends and family meant the world to James. He was loyal & if you were a friend to James, you were a friend for life. James was known to sacrifice himself if a friend was in trouble. He leaves to mourn his immediate family: parents Don & Lori; sister Kyra Meyer; mother Donna Ballantyne; sisters Alexandra and Ellie Ballantyne; grandparents Ken & Colleen Meyer and Phyllis Cooper; Uncle Dave (Cindy) Meyer and their daughters Sarah & Katie, Uncle Darrell (Lori) Meyer and their children Tanner & Hayden, Auntie Donna (Brent) Bernhauser and their children Kelsey & Mackenzie, Auntie Joanne Boyd, and their children Kaelen, Jayme (Unal), Auntie Wanda Hurren, Jordan (Tracy), Mark, Auntie Heather (Lyle) Hurren; Special friends Carli Cooper, Andrew Wiebe, Brandon Cannon. In heaven, he will join Preston Meyer. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 at 11:00AM at Zion United Church, 423 Main St. N., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to the Saskatchewan Wild Life Federation in James’s memory. In living memory of James, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
