Ann (Ross) Sampson passed away peacefully on Thursday October 6, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in NE Margaree, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Mary Ross. She is survived by son, Kevin (Sharon) Matheson of Dartmouth, Stewart (Denise) Matheson of Bedford; daughter, Janice (Melvin) Matheson of Glace Bay; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and sister, Marguerite Maryland. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Basil; brothers, James and Winslow; sisters, Muriel, Lillian and Frances. In honour of Ann’s wishes, no flowers please and a private immediate family service will take place. Donations in Ann’s memory greatly appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society and Margaree Center United Church. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rent for your kindness and compassion during Ann’s illness.
