It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Howard Noel of Howley announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Friday October 7, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Robert leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years Shirley nee Somers, his children Pamela (Larry) Frazer, Kenneth (Rose), Keith (Brenda), Perry Noel (Deanne Saunders), grandchildren Dana, Damon, Krista, Ashley, Shane, Jonathan, Scarlett, Savannah, eight great-grandchildren Sara, Zachary, Emma, Natasha, Nicholas, Dakota, Dustin, and Drake, brothers Dale (Doris), Edward (Shirley), Donald, sisters Yvonne Sheppard, Margaret (Robert) Marshal, and Marilyn (Paul) Butt. He also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Robert was predeceased by his parents Marjorie and Worley, sisters-in-law Annie (William) Somers, Lillian, Muriel Teate, brothers-in-law Jim Harris, William Sheppard, Harold Somers, and Max Pottle. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for the Howley United Church. The family will be receiving family and friends at The United Church in Howley, NL, on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from the hours 7-9 pm, continuing Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from on Monday October 10, 2016, at 2 pm, with Reverend Doctor Tony Newell officiating.
