It is with overwhelming grief and heartache that we recognize the passing of our beloved Carmel in the presence of her devoted family, on Friday October 7, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital at age 74. Predeceased by precious son Phillip and loving parents Allan and Mary McManus. Leaving to mourn and reflect on their time together, with cherished memories are husband Frank; children Dan (Ida), Connie Hiscock (Bob) and Shelly; grandchildren Megan, Rebecca, Brooke, Nickolas and step grandson Kenny; sisters Mary Claeys (Bob deceased) of Grand Haven, Michigan, Sheila Turner (Ronald) of Magnolia Springs, Alabama, Kathy Wood (Bob), Sharon McManus (Gerard Hanlon), Christine McManus (Reg Westcott), sister-in-law Rose Demeraux (Richard), brother-in-law Bob (Olga) of Toronto, along with many loved nephews, nieces, cousins, friends - special friends Bob Noftall and Nora Alyward. We would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre for their care and support during Carmel's diagnosis and treatment. To Dr. Phair, his team and the nurses and staff on the 7th floor of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, during Carmel's short and most recent stay, words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks for the love, care and support you gave to Carmel and our family to prepare us for her final journey. We will always remember your kindness. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., on Monday, October 10th at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. A celebration of Carmel's life will take place at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at St. Teresa's Church on Mundy Pond Rd., with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
