It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Millie Parsons, on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Foote) Greer, Round Island. Millie was an active member of the Louisburg Ladies Auxiliary, the ACW of the Anglican Church and the Louisburg Seniors Club. Millie is survived by her children, Rosie Parsons, Henry (Bernice) and Patsy (Alan); eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; sister, Marne Steele, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Parsons; her four brothers and one sister. The family would like to thank the staff of Palliative Care, the Fireman, Ambulance staff, VON and home care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19,2016 from 4-6 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
