With sad and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Ferguson, 52, on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sydney Mines on November 21, 1963, he was the son of Isobel (Steffens) Ferguson and the late Murray (Junior) Ferguson. Melvin enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Melvin is survived by his mother, Isobel; brothers, Ronny, Greg (D.J.) Terry; his sister, Wendy Ledger (Keith); children, Ashley Harris (Greg), Breah Hamilton (Phillip), Kyle Hamilton (Brittany), Alyssa, Danielle and grandchildren, Kylie and Dominic.
He was predeceased by his father Murray (Junior) Ferguson.
