BELINDA "LINDA" POWER
February 7th, 1946 ~ October 16th, 2016


It is with great sadness that the family of the late LINDA POWER of Mooring Cove announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, October 16th, 2016, at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband, Jack of 51 years; son, Shane of Medicine Hat, AB; daughters, Ruth Young of Stephenville, Jackie Power of Medicine Hat, AB, Tina Denty (Terry) of Medicine Hat, AB and Shelly Hackett (Jerry) of Wabush, Labrador; sister, Elizabeth Keough (Doug) of Parson’s Pond; brothers, Richard Blanchard and Melvin Blanchard of Parson’s Pond; 2 grandchildren: L.J. Young and Jerome Hackett; 1 great-grandson, Kaleb Young; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents, Walter & Emily Blanchard; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Friday, October 21st, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation followed. Inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown at a later date.

In Linda’s memory donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador or flowers gratefully accepted.
