Margaret Mitchell Charles

Date de décès : 21 octobre 2016

"Say not in grief she is no more but live
in the thankfulness that she was ours."

Passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 Margaret Charles, aged 92 (although she'd be none too happy with us putting that in print). She is fondly remembered by her seven children: Kimberly Roberts (Christopher), Lee Stones (Michael), Glenn Charles (Marianna), Sherry DelRizzo (Joe), Kerry Charles (Helen), Suzanne Walsh (Joe) and Debbie Blundon. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Cyril Ludlow, in addition to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Charles; her parents Gertrude and Alex Mitchell; her sisters Joan Ludlow (Cyril) and Louise Reid (Clarence); and her brothers Donald and Clarence Mitchell (Sue). As per our mother's wishes, there will be no wake or formal church service. There will be a graveside service at the General Protestant Cemetery, Waterford Bridge Road on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2 pm, for anyone who wishes to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice and if you can, raise a glass in her honour as we know she'd appreciate it. Very special thanks go to the caring staff at the Pleasant View Towers Nursing Home, especially her nurses Donna, Connie and Susan and of course Tim who always made her day when he came in for a chat and her neighbour Madeline who became an instant friend. We would be amiss not to mention her nephew Rodger Ludlow and his wife Debbie (who had the prettiest eyes Mom would say) where mom lived since moving back to NL from NS in 2013 up to the time when she moved to Pleasant View Towers. She loved her little apartment in their home and how kind they always were. We hope our parents are reunited now in their favourite fishing spot on the 5 Mile in Placentia, and that for Mom's sake, she can catch up on Coronation Street on TV in heaven. One of Mom's favourite things to say was "You'll miss me when I'm gone" ... and she was right. To send a message of condolences or to sign the memorial guest book, please visit www.carnells.com.

the loss of a trinket but never
after the loss of a treasure."
