It is with broken hearts, but with many wonderful memories that we announce the passing of our dear father Robert Hamlyn age 89 years of Mt. Pearl on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Predeceased by his loving wife Carolyn and son Kenneth. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Robert (Shirley), Barbara, Frances (Ken-deceased), Paul (Elaine), Debbie (Len), Sharon (Roger), Wayne (Cheryl) and Michelle (Jack). Pop was also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Special thanks to the palliative care team: Regina Guinchard, PHN and home care support worker Anita Walsh for providing guidance and support as we fulfilled our fathers wish to remain at home surrounded by his family. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Palliative Care Unit.
