It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond (Ray) Battiste announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on November 9, 2016 at the age of 69. Ray was the son of the late Thomas & Jane Battiste. He was also predeceased by his infant brother Cyril, brothers Lewis Battiste and Joe Battiste, sister Mabel Battiste, nieces Amanda Battiste, Rhonda Seaward, nephew Jason Seaward, brother-in-law Bob Peddle. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his sons Christopher (Melissa) Battiste, Tom (Rhonda) Battiste and Rick Battiste, grandchildren Miranda, Madison, Mason, Myelle, great grandchildren Theo, Oliver and once in a lifetime companion and friend Wavey. He will also remain in the hearts of brothers and sisters Ronnie (Maxine) Battiste, Nina Peddle, Audrey (William) Seaward, Kevin (Donna) Battiste, Marlene (Tom) Brake, Gerard (Carolann) Battiste, Jerome (Pauline) Battsite. Sisters-in-law Mary Battiste, Jean Gabriel, Marie Battiste and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many many friends. In keeping with Ray's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation. A celebration of Ray's life will take place on Friday, November 11, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre or St. James Anglican Church.
