KRAFVE, Lawrence Henry “Bud”, “Buddy” – age 59, Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on November 7, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 21, 1957 in Shelburne, he was a son of Lawrence and Doreen (Hunt) Krafve of Barrington. Bud began working in the shipping/receiving department at Wilson’s in Barrington, then began working as a mechanic and alignment specialist with Allan Christie’s Garage and then with Tusket Ford. He had recently obtained his trucking license from Commercial Safety College and had been working at Schooner Seafoods in Wedgeport prior to his death. Bud enjoyed fishing and boating at the lake, NASCAR racing (he was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt), and also enjoyed going to Scotia Speed World and stock-car racing. This past summer he was a member of the pit crew at the Lake Doucette Motor Speedway. Aside from his parents, Lawrence and Doreen, he is survived by his wife, Karen (Corporon) Krafve, as well as by his son, Kirby (Stephanie) Krafve, South Side; a grandson, Kale; his former wife and the mother of his son, Cyndi (Swim); step-son Paul J. Pothier Jr. “Junior” (Kathy Brittain), Yarmouth; siblings, Darlene Atkinson, Barrington; David (Maxine) Krafve and Sheryl Newell, both of North East Point; mother-in-law, Bernadette “Bernice” Corporon, Wedgeport, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Jeff Newell and Calvin Corporon, as well as by his father-in-law, Ferdinand Corporon. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 12, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated.
