PERRY, LeRoy Wilson of Short Beach, Yarmouth Co, passed away on November 9, 2016 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital at the age of 72 (b. Oct. 11, 1944) after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father Clinton Perry and his mother Lilah Lee (Frost) Perry. LeRoy leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Faye (Cushing) Perry; brother Kent (Susan) Perry; like son, Peter Wright; like granddaughters, Elizabeth and Christina Wright; many nieces and nephews and his best buddies dogs, Koda and Buffy and cat, Busha who he loved dearly. He was a truck driver most of his life, trucking for Canada Post for 26 years. He enjoyed sail boating and tinkering with his British Cars. He was a member of the Automobile Touring Association of Nova Scotia. LeRoy also loved spending time at the camp with his extended camp family. Funeral services were entrusted to Sweenys Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in Sweenys Funeral Home South Room (Please use doors to the right of the main chapel doors). A funeral service was held Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2 P.M. from Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joyce Trask officiated. Interment followed in Darlings Lake Cemetery. There was a small reception at the Pembroke Community Hall following the burial. Family flowers only please.
