It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Montford LeMoine on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late John and Annie LeMoine.
Montford was a member of the Anglican Church, Louisbourg. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, also fishing, cooking feeds for functions. He was a friend to many and a pleasure to be around.
Montford is survived by his children, Ann Kennedy (Freddy), Vera LeMoine (Joe), Kim LeMoine, Melvin LeMoine, Timmie LeMoine (RayAnne), Linda and Joe Burke, Philip LeMoine, Wayne LeMoine. He was also survived by loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Annie; his grandson, Jeremey; two brothers, George and Henry; sister, Martha and many friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at St Bartholomew’s Parish, Louisbourg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg with Rev. Reg MacDonald officiating. Interment to follow in Stella Maris Parish. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit.
