Jessie Neustaeter

Jessie Neustaeter

Date de décès : 5 novembre 2016

Jessie Neustaeter was born on June 21st, 1951, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She was the 13th of 14 children born to Isaac and Sara Heinrichs. Jessie grew up on their farm and attended school in the Versailles district. After leaving high school, Jessie left the farm for Winnipeg where she received her LPN training and worked at the Misericordia Health Centre. She moved back to Swift Current and married Abe Neustaeter in 1975. Jessie and Abe lived in Wymark until moving to Abe’s family farm in 1981, where they lived, together, the remainder of Jessie’s days. Jessie and Abe welcomed two daughters into their family and Jessie stayed home to raise the girls, before returning to work as a care aid. In recent years, Jessie stayed home, helping to care for their grandchildren. Jessie enjoyed playing cards and kibitzing with family. She was a fantastic baker and cook. She loved having her family close by and her home was always Grand Central Station, when family would come from afar. Jessie passed away, peacefully, at home on Saturday, November 5th, 2016, at the age of 65, following a brief illness. Jessie was predeceased by her parents & parents-in-law; her oldest sister, Helen; brothers, John, Ike, Abe, Pete, Harry, Karl, Jim, and Henry (in infancy); sisters-in-law, Sarah Heinrichs, Phyllis Heinrichs, and Barb Neustaeter; brothers-in-law, Terry Pukas, John Neustaeter, Bill Neustaeter, Lawrence Dyck, and Morley Luepke; nephews, Trevor Pukas, Shane Heinrichs, and Dennis Neustaeter; nieces, Theodora Neustaeter and Sadie Reddekopp. Jessie is survived by her husband, Abe, and their two daughters, Tracey Neustaeter and Tricia (Dan) Bosshard; her 6 grandchildren, Sarah, Josiah, Ava-Lee, Elijah, Daniel, and Paisley; her sister, Sally (Wayne) Zacharias; brothers, Jake Heinrichs, Ed (Judy) Heinrichs, and Ernie Heinrichs; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Frances Heinrichs, Laura Heinrichs, Hanna Heinrichs, Margaret Neustaeter, Katherine Neustaeter, Henry Neustaeter, Mary Luepke, Eva Neustaeter, Betty (Ed) Ginter, Susan Mellom, and Ernie Neustaeter; Jessie was a favourite auntie to her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
