STODDARD, David Rupert – age 65 of Milton Highlands, Yarmouth Co., N.S. died peacefully at home on November 18, 2016 as he had wanted. Born in Yarmouth March 8, 1951, David was the son of the late Gerald Stoddard and Lillian Joyce (Pitman) Stoddard. He attended Acadia University and worked in Calgary and in the Valley for several years before moving back home in the early 1980’s. For nearly 30 years he worked for Farmers Cooperative Dairy. He leaves his wife Virginia (Lantz, Eamon); stepdaughter Shannon (Michael) Fisher, St. John's; grandchildren, Jake and Emily Fisher; brother, Keith (Violet). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral service was held Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 2 P.M. in Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiated. Burial followed in Brooklyn Cemetery with a reception afterwards in the Bright Lights Seniors Hall next door.
