November 1, 1924 – November 25, 2016

Passed peacefully away on November 25, 2016, Helen Carter of St. John’s in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Nicholas and Bridget Wadden, sister Mary Brown, brothers Billy and Brian Wadden. Lovingly remembered by son Robert (Jill Penney) and daughters Cathy (Kevin Kelly), Anne (Alvin Hayes), Brenda, and Christine; grandchildren Erin, Grant, Diana, Evan, Ian, Nicholas, and Nathan; great grandchildren Avery and Emma; as well as her brother Ron (Nix) Wadden (Madeline), brother-in-law John Carter (Kay), special cousin Barbara Fitzgerald and niece Marie Wadden; and other nieces and nephews, close friends and bridge partners. Cremation has taken place. To celebrate her life please join the family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Monday, November 28 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 29 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
