Shirley Ann Davies
Shirley Ann Davies (nee Edwards) passed away on November 26, 2016 at her home in Moose Jaw. Shirley was born January 6, 1942 in Lestock, SK. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Hannah Edwards, beloved grandmother, Jane Copeland, brother-in-law Paul Nofield and niece Candace Lajoure. Her family is going to miss her more than words can ever say. She will be remembered with love and laughter by her daughters Dana Rae, Tracey (Steve), Kim (Greg). She was a proud and devoted grandma to Matthew (Bev), Jennifer, Aaron, Logan, Alexis, Reagan, Miles and her great grandson, Colin. She is also survived by her sisters, Delores and Jo (Vern), and her nephew and nieces. Shirley was a loving and generous mother. She was always available to her family whenever they needed her. She adored each and every one of her grandchildren and spent so many hours singing with them and doing jigsaw puzzles. Away in a Manger, Jesus Loves Me and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer were the first songs they ever heard. Shirley worked at the Scotiabank in Hamilton and Welland, Ontario as well as in Moose Jaw. Wherever we went she was stopped by former customers and coworkers for a little visit. After her retirement from the Scotiabank, Shirley was able to spend more time in her garden and she was famous for her raspberry jam. Everyone who knew Shirley knows that she was a loyal Warrior fan and the hockey games brought her so much joy. She was a Booster Club member and sold 50/50 tickets for many years. At Shirley's request no funeral will be held and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon would be appreciated. In living memory of Shirley, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
