HUBBARD, G. Evelyn – age 98, Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2016 in her home. Born April 11, 1918 in Amirault’s Hill, she was a daughter of the late Urbain and Jane Muise. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed baking. She is survived by her children, Ralph (Eileen) Hubbard, Amirault’s Hill; Verly (Clarence) Warner, Abram’s River; Elmer Hubbard, Amirault’s Hill; Geraldine (Walter) Queenan, Naples, Florida, as well as seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, J. Adolphe Hubbard as well as by sisters, Charlotte, Tessie, Cecelia, Margie “Marcelle”, Esther, Catherine, Agnes and brothers, Thomas and Jean Carrie, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Evelyn lived her life on her own terms and is now where she so longed to be, reunited with the love of her life, Adolphe. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 12 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated.
