It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of J. Robert McDonald on Monday, December 12, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, on August 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Murray and Georgina (Duck) McDonald. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anne (Crane); his sons, who were his greatest accomplishment, Keith (San Francisco) and Brian (Calgary); one sister, Merna (Calgary).
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Barry.
There will be no visitation or service at Robert’s request. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main Street, Glace Bay. The interment will be at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to Palliative Care. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.currysfuneralhome.com.
