Passed peacefully Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Hillsborough Hospital of David Gillis of Stratford, age 68 years. Beloved husband of Adele Gillis (nee Marchbank), loving father of Dean (Krista) and cherished grandfather of Gavin. David will also be remembered by his sisters - Joan Newell (Ralph - deceased), Arlene Gillis, Brenda Bos (Ben) and Judy Chipman, sister-in-law Bernie Gillis and his aunt Eleanor Halman (Mannus - deceased). He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Margaret (nee Bradley) Gillis and brother Alan Gillis. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 4 - 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later at Floral Hills Memorial Garden.
