Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's, December 25th, 2016, Alex Baird of Long Pond, in his 88th year. Korean War Veteran. He is predeceased by his twin brother Samuel, parents Alex and Mary Baird, brother Bill, sister Wilmot and sister-in-law Dallas. He is survived by brothers Alonzo, Warrick and Fred, sisters Millicent Dawe, Margaret Lawlor, Pearl Pottle and their families. Special sister-in law Nancy. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Wednesday, 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place in the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2 pm. Interment at All Saints Cemetery Dunn's Hill Rd, Foxtrap.
