The death occurred peacefully with her family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday December 28, 2016 of Marie Hélene Arsenault at the age of 92. She was born in St. Philippe on May 16, 1924, daughter of the late Antoine and Emilienne (nee Bernard) Arsenault. Marie Hélene was the devoted wife of the late Tilmon J. Arsenault and is survived by her children: Réginald, Dorothy (Tilmon), Clem (Bénita), Laurie, Shirly (Harley) Richardson, Pierre and Emilie (Paul) Gallant. She is the cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband as well as sons Alvin and James. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday, December 30, then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Marie Hélene’s memory to Le Chez-Nous, to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. At the family's request, the wake will be held Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. only.
