Lester Campbell

Lester Ray CAMPB ELL
1921 - 2016

We are saddened to announce the passing of Les at the age of 95 years. Born in Paddockwood, Les grew up there and married Dora Wildey. They were blessed with 3 sons. In his earlier years, Les was a carpenter and built many good homes in PA. He was always proud of his skill as his chosen trade and was involved in projects until his early 90’s. His work also took him to Edmonton for many years. He loved the company of others who respected his calm caring demeanor. Reminiscing his lifetime stories will be forever missed. Years after the passing of his wife Dora he found companionship with Joan Wildey, married, and spent their years together visiting relatives and friends. He served active duty in WWII and was always proud of his status as a veteran. Les is survived by grandchildren and daughter Gail Ridgeway, Terry Campbell, Greg (June) Campbell, Stacy (Rhonda) Campbell, Brent Campbell and their respective families; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends dear to his heart. He was predeceased by his wife Dora (nee Wildey); his sons Larry, Roy and Russ; brothers Kilburn and Al; sister Orphie and wife Joan Wildey (nee Herron).
