REED
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Maurice Arthur Reed of Moose Jaw, SK, on Monday December 26, 2016 at age 64, after a courageous fight for 12 years with failing health. Art was born June 30, 1952 in McCreary, MB. Art was predeceased by his father Clifford Alan Reed of Makinak, MB; mother Vida Marie Ricard (nee Lawrence) of Horod, MB and brother David Reed. Art leaves behind the love of his life Darlene. They were married on October 11, 1980 in Mossbank, SK. enjoying over 36 years together and having 3 beautiful children Ryan, Jenna (Kyle) and Kara (Nathan) and 3 grandchildren. Art will be forever remembered by his brothers, sisters extended family and dear friends. He was very artistic and loved to draw, paint and write. Art was passionate about helping others, counselling, being a foster parent, working for the Moose Jaw Native Friendship Center and Social Services. He had a towing business and enjoyed tinkering with vehicles. A Celebration of Art’s Life will take place At W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 1:30PM. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 8th St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
