Cindy Doucette
Cindy Mae Doucette has completed her work here on earth and has moved on to continue her work in the spirit world on December 28, 2016. Cindy cherished her family ji’j more than anything. It was her dream come true for her and her fiancé to have their precious daughter Mariah Mae. Her family ji’j made her so happy and meant the world to her. She enjoyed life to the fullest and treasured her family and friends. Cindy was very straight forward and told it how it was but also did not want to burden anyone with her illness. Regardless of how she was feeling, she always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Cindy was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Eskasoni. She was an avid swimmer, enjoyed going to the movies, had a deep love for children and was a special Nanny to many, hence her nickname ‘Cindy Mom’. Born in Sydney on October 7, 1989 she was the daughter of Jackie Basque (Joey) and Donald Doucette (Andrea). She leaves behind the love of her life, her fiancé, Michael (Mise’l) Dennis and her special gift to us all, her pride and joy, Mariah Mae. Cindy is survived by her most precious Granny, Mary Edwina and was a proud member of the ‘Granny Gang’. She is survived by her sisters, Samantha, Sarah (Blake), Pam (Murdoch), Baby Lily and her only brother, Donald. She is also survived by nephews, Nolan, Connor, Jack and Jeremy; nieces, Kaidence and Logan and her godchildren, Jack and Leia. She is also survived by grandparents, Norman (Mary Ann) Basque, Georgina Doucette, godparents, Kim Basque and Peter Marshall and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her special friends, Zane, Ashley, Cassandra, Dorianna and Caroline. She was preceded by her grandfather, Noel Doucette, favorite Aunt Jenny, Uncle Seymour, Aunt Gwen and Uncle Wilson.
Visitation for Cindy Doucette will begin after 7 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 17 Beacon Hill Rd., Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
