John (Jack) Wells

John (Jack) Wells

Date de naissance : 3 mars 1945

It is with great sadness that we, the family of John (Jack) Henry Wells, announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and brother. Jack died peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by his loving family. Born March 3rd, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Lena (Roberts) Wells.
Jack worked for 34 years as a teacher and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 3. He loved sports, especially hockey and baseball. In his early years he coached many sports teams and loved a good game of horseshoes with the guys from the neighborhood. Jack was an avid reader but spending time with his family and his dog, Daisy, was what he loved most in life. Jack was a kind, gentle soul with a heart of gold who never spoke a mean word about anyone. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Ann (MacMullin); sons, Tony (Tammy), Michael (Tammy), Kenneth (Laura) and his seven grandchildren, Hunter, Holly, Marissa, Reanna, Paige, Wyatt and Reese, who he adored more than anything. A survived by his sister, Darlene (Michael) Gillis and brother, Jim (Jenice) Wells. Visitation will take place at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main Street, Glace Bay, on Tuesday, January 3rd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, January 4th at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church with Rev Norman MacPhee officiating.
