The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, December 30, 2016 of Donald "Donnie" Blair Ellis of O’Leary aged 78, beloved husband of Valerie (nee Livingstone). Born in O’Leary on July 19, 1938, son of the late Ira and Annie (MacDonald) Ellis. Cherished father to Paul (Sandra), Terry Lee Ellis and Alan (Claretta); father in law to Connie Ellis. Loving grandfather to Mitchell, Marshall, Miranda, David, Brandon (Andrea), Kyle, Katie, Melissa, Logan, Nikki (Jeremy) Gallant, Dylan and great grandfather to 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother to Elga (Dennis) Brownrigg, Sharon (John) Pellegrino; brother in law to Adeline Ellis, Sandra (John) LeBouef, Gerald (Betty) Foley, Gertrude Matthews and Fred (Shirley) Foley. Donnie was predeceased by his parents, son Steven (June 11, 2008), brothers Bloice (Blanche), Leith, sister Laurie in infancy and brother in law Murray Nugent. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
