James (Jimmy) Francis Gouthro, age 55, of Ingersoll, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home in Sydney Mines on Friday, December 30th.
Born in Sydney Mines on November 9, 1961, he was the son of the late James Alexander Gouthro and Beverly Margaret MacRae. Jim is survived by his son, Cory Gouthro, Guelph Ontario and daughter, Kayla Brianna Gouthro, London, Ontario. He is also survived by sisters, Kathy Banfield (Robert) Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, Carol Gouthro, Coldbrook, Nova Scotia and Jennifer MacDougall (Stephen) Sydney Mines and brother, Danny Gouthro, Ingersoll, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by sisters, Barbara Wiswell and Nancy O’Neil (Jim) and niece, Ashly Wiswell. Jim was a gentle, kind and caring man who cherished his family and friends. At Jim’s request, there will be no service. The family is requesting that donations be made out to The Cape Breton District Health Care - Palliative Care.
