In Loving Memory of Doris (Dolly) Hickey (nee Luffman), of Bell Island; born February 14, 1925, passed peacefully away on January 4, 2017. Doris married her devoted husband George on January 18,1947 and they would have celebrated 70 loving years together. Doris is preceded by her cherished children Brian and Regina; parents Norm and Mary; brother's Derm, Jack and Vince and sister's Marion and Jean. Leaving to mourn; her loving husband George, daughter Mary Whelan (Ambrose), son George (Mary), son Dave (Marilyn), daughter Bonita French(Maurice) and son Eric (Kimberley). Twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Pendergast Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday January 5 & 6, 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Michael's Church at 1:00pm on Saturday January 7, 2017. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Michaels Parish Cemetery. Special thanks to Father Ray Earle, Dr. Laurie, the caring staff of the Walter Templeman Health Care and her Home Care workers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Michael's Parish.
