BERRY, George Raymond- age 69, of Yarmouth,N.S. passed away on January 4th, 2017. Born in Yarmouth on March 22, 1947 he was the son of the late Raymond and Sheila (Goodwin) Berry of Yarmouth. George was an avid bingo player at the Yarmouth Legion as well as a big Blue Jays fan. A great boss, George was a hard worker his entire life and also enjoyed helping his many friends at Lawndale Haven. George loved his wife and family very much. He is survived by his wife Cheryl; children George (Jaime), Linda (Keith), Carleton (Melissa) and Angela; brothers, William (Elaine), Robert (Brenda), Garth, Arthur and sister Ida (Leroy); grandchildren Ashleigh, Riley, Brady, Bailee, Dylan, Nykolas, Emily and Abigayle. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Albert and Carleton and sister Joyce. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 14th at the Salvation Army Church from 2-4 p.m. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth V.O.N or the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
