With heavy hearts, we share the news of the quiet passing of our mom, Penny Hinsche, on January 3, 2017. Penny was a woman who always had an open door, willing to share her time, her tea or coffee, and listen. She had a special way of making you feel welcome, supported and loved. Her laugh was loud, uninhibited and free flowing. She loved her girls fiercely and was a friend to the furry creatures of the world. The more love that was needed, the more her heart grew. She will be missed.

Penny was born in New Westminster, BC. Throughout her life she lived in Port Alberni, Richmond, Princeton, Quesnel, Williams Lake and Whistler before she found her home in Squamish in 1971. She is survived by her three children and their families: Tina, Marcel, Austin, Sabrina and Jake; Tammy, Juliet, Lachlan and Aila; Tracy, Mark, Max and Jack, her once husband but always her friend, Bob, her sister Ann, nephews Gord and Glenn, niece Michelle, her Aunt Barbie, her pusscat Idgie and many friends spread across the land.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday January 12 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Squamish Golf Course. Light refreshments will be served. We will have a photo / memory table if you would like to bring one. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC SPCA - Humane Society - Squamish Branch.
