Bessie Hawken of Calgary, formerly of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Bessie was predeceased by her husband William Hawken, grandson Kelly Hawken, and son-in-law Gord Owre. She will be sadly missed by her children Bill (Jackie) Hawken, Dan (Dianne) Hawken and Elaine Owre; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St E., Moose Jaw. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Bessie will be laid to rest beside her husband William at Sunset Cemetery.
