We, the family of the late Willie Gillard wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to family and friends for their acts of kindness and support during our profound loss. A huge thank you to extended family, friends and neighbours who sent food, flowers, sympathy cards, Mass cards, charitable donations, phone calls, text messages and online condolences. A sincere thank you to the 3rd floor staff of CCU and the emergency staff of Cape Breton Regional Hospital for your professionalism and compassion. We are forever grateful for your comfort, support and care. A special thanks to the many home care workers who provided exceptional care over the past few years. Many thanks to the staff of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay, for your guidance and professionalism. A special thank you to Father Boone, altar servers and choir. We appreciated the beautiful service and music selections. Thank you to the CWL for the lunch provided. Special thank you to the readers; Jaime, Marianne, and Veronica, Dad’s granddaughters and Marguerite. We were honored by this final gift to him. A warm thank you is extended to the pallbearers, Dad’s grandsons; Kent, Jared, Stephen, David, Chad and a special nephew Jerry Brown.
