STUART-Gertrude passed away peacefully under the care of the Cypress Regional Hospital (ICU) on January 14, 2017. Gertrude was born on September 13, 1930 in Moose Range District Sask, third child of John K. and Sarah Wiens. Gertrude married Gerald D. Stuart of Cabri, Sask on September 14, 1957. They started life together farming the family homestead in the Riverdene District until moving to Swift Current in 1964. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before Gerald passed away from cancer. Gertrude is survived by her son John (Tracy), Grandson david and Granddaughter Amy. A graveside service and internment were held at the Schantzenfeld Cemetery January 18, 2017 Donations to be made to ICU Cypress Regional hospital.
