Eric James Reid slipped peacefully away into the presence of the Lord on January 2, 2017 at the John M. Gray Centre, at the age of 56 years. Eric was born to Bartholomew and Velma Reid on October 14, 1960 in Englee. He married Sharon Pittman on Sept 26, 1992 and they had three daughters: Lorna, Sandi, and Sarah. Eric started finishing with his father at the age of 16 and continued to do so until his surgery in September 2013. He also had a great passion for woodcutting and hunting. Many of his friends could tell endless stories of their adventures together with him. Eric had many friends and was well liked by everyone who knew him. He leaves to mourn his wife Sharon; mother Velma; daughters Lorna (Dion) Sexton, Sandi (Pete) Budgell, and Sarah (Robert) Chaisson; granddaughters Kylee and Koriana; sisters Patricia (Dorman), Rowena (Nigel), and Dora; brothers Guy (Rowena), Raymond (Loretta), Alyvone (Mary), Willis, and Don (Wanda) as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Bartholomew on November 5th, 2014. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation took place at the Pentecostal Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held on Friday, January 6th with Pastor Simms officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
