Harold Miller

Date de décès : 17 janvier 2017

Harold Lenord Miller
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the peaceful passing of Harold on January 17th, 2017. We feel comforted in knowing he is at peace in heaven. Harold was born on August 31st, 1921 at Summercove District, Mankota, Saskatchewan. Harold will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Celestina, and their five children Laura-Lee (Tom) Coward, Gerald (Brigitte) Miller, Marina (Forrest) Thomson, Joan Miller, and Mary-Lynn Miller. Harold is also survived by his sister Lorraine Beler, brother Wilmer (Mary), and brother-in-law Edward (Leona) Bengert. Papa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Nathan, Karl (Deanne), Andrew (Angela), Claire, Stephanie (Justin), Jenna (Kelvin), Matthew, Marc (Jade), Christina, Emma, Sarina, and his great-grandchildren Brody, Morgan, Kayden, Emma, Payton, Connor, and Aubrie. Harold’s gentle spirit and nature was always seen by his family and friends. He truly loved the land he worked and raised cattle on the farm for 30 years with Celestina at his side working together. They shared 58 wonderful, happy, wedded years. Family times were most important to Harold. He always made the effort to attend church as a family and thoroughly enjoyed summer camping trips to the mountains. Harold and Celestina were blessed to travel numerous places throughout Canada, U.S and overseas. They spent numerous winters in Yuma, Arizona making many friends over the years. Dad and mom simply enjoyed the RV trips down south returning home in early spring.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Amanda (Morrissette) Miller, brother Vern Miller, brother-in-law Robert Beler, Celestina’s parents Emma (Schergevitch) and Karl Bengert, sister-in-law Louise (Irwin) Dauk, numerous aunts, and nephews. Harold’s family will miss him dearly and fondly remember our “papa’s” many stories of his growing up years, early farming, breaking horses, herding cattle, fixing machinery, and making just about anything from nothing. Harold’s wishes are to have a private family mass. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Moose Jaw Right to Life at 107 Main St. North Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0V9.
