MILLER, Norma MacConnell (MacLean) - age 88, passed away peacefully in the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou on January 19, 2017.
Born on Caribou Island, she was a daughter of the late Norman & Mary (Johnson) MacLean. She spent her early years on Caribou Island helping on the family farm. She became a teacher and taught on Caribou Island, then later married her husband, Donald Miller in 1953 and shared many amazing years until his passing in 2001. She loved old time music and family gatherings.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family, daughters, Mary, Caribou Island; Darlene (John), PEI; son, Glenn (Paula), New Glasgow; brother, Douglas, Pictou; grandsons, Curtis & Nick, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Don; brothers, Curtis, Smith, Earle & Bert; sister, Vera, niece, Linda and nephew, Al.
Arrangements are under the care of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, where visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday. Burial will be at a later date.
