It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Lorena (aunt Dot) Prosser announces her passing on Friday January 20, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Aunt Dot didn't just cherish her family, her love grew beautifully each year in her garden. It was always one of her greatest possessions. If you didn't see her in her flowers, then it was stitched by hand in one of her many quilts. The two things she always put so much love into and never once asking for its love in return. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her only son Richard (Gertie), proud grandmother of John, Leah (Shane) Stares. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters Dallas Turner Hanovers Mass USA, Shirley Osmond, Marilyn Bragg (Will Osmond) all of Port aux Basques and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Bernard Prosser in 2005, brothers; Christopher Bragg (Ester), George Bragg (Mary),. William Bragg (Mildred), brothers in law; Enoch Prosser (Leah), Charles Prosser (Julia), Canon Wallace Prosser (Gadys), Jack Prosser (June), Frank Prosser (Irene), Samuel Prosser (Olive), George Osmond and Elwood Turner. Visitation took place on Saturday from 7-9 pm and continued on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Monday January 23, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey, interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to St. James Anglican Church or the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center Foundation.
