
Audrey Forsey Brown (nee Bartlett)

Passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre January 29, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her husbands: Reg Forsey and Don Brown; infant daughter CheryLynn; infant granddaughter Amanda; brothers: Frank, Eric (Mary) and Guy. Audrey leaves a large number of family members and friends to celebrate her long and full life, her loving children: Derek (Sharon), Denise (Gerald Murphy), Reg (Genevieve), Jeff (Elizabeth), Paul (Terry), Janice (Sean Muir); 17 grandchildren and their partners; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Morris (Janet); sisters-in-law: Jean (Frank) and Kate (Guy); brother-in-law Albert Forsey (Yvonne); Don Brown's children: Derek (Cynthia) and Christine (Noreen); Don's two grandchildren; Audrey's nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada and the USA, as well as her many friends, especially those she made at Tiffany Village and the Church of the Good Samaritan. She lived a full life; raising her family, working with Forsey Electric and volunteering with the Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, Church Auxillary, Ladies of the Sabre and St. Luke's. She enjoyed Square Dancing and never missed a chance to play Bridge. The family would like to thank the staff at Tiffany Village, the Dialysis Units at the Waterford and Health Sciences Centre and the Go Bus Drivers for their loving attention to Mom. A special thanks for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Hannaford, Dr. Curtis, Dr. Pike, Dr. McGrath, their medical teams and the nursing staff of 4 South B and 5 North A. The prayers and friendship of Father Darrell were greatly appreciated by Audrey and her family. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, February 1, 2017 between 2-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (The Kirk) on February 2, 2017 at 11 am with private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation or the Church of the Good Samaritan.
