It is with heavy hearts we, the family of Margaret (Peggy) Florence MacPhail, 71, announce her peaceful passing on January 30, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (Pallitive Care) surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born January 4, 1946 in Halifax to the late Lillian and Lloyd MacRae of Seaview, Cape Breton. Peggy recently resided in Sydney,NS. Peggy is survived by her most special friend, Roland Ryan; children; Linda (Dave)Benvie, Kevin (Dale)MacPhail, Shonna MacPhail(Hector), Dwayne(Val)MacPhail; brothers, Wayne(Yvonne)MacRae, Robert(Christine)Maclean and sister, Cheryl(Sherman)MacPhail.
Peggy had special love for her children and was very proud of their accomplishments, also her grandchildren, Courtney, Morgan, T.J., Silas, Coady and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored as well.
Our mother was a loving mom who loved to travel, play cards, bingo, music, dance and enjoy time with her family and friends.
A service will be held at St.Peters United Church on Thursday February 2 at 2 p.m. Many thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit (CBRH), V.O.N., Dr. Murdock Smith and Dr. Buhda. Donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
