It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Rogers on Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late James and Mercedes (Colombe) Aucoin. Lorraine is survived by her children, Lisa Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Martin Luce, Linda Luce, Mary Luce and Debbie Huard; grandchildren, James Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan, Jayden MacPhee, Michael Michalik, Carol Anne Luce, Lorraine Bryden and Stephanie Huard; many great-grandchildren; her loving best friend, Tom Rogers; siblings, Mary Roy-Brumner, Carmel Wadden, Statia (Garfield) White and Jerry. She was predeceased by her siblings, Pearl, Caroline, Sonny, Franky, Danny, Jude and Stephen. There is no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Holy Cross Church. The Rev Norman MacPhee will be officiating.
