Ash, Agnes Catherine (MacKenzie) – Truro - passed away at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on December 30, 2016. She was born in St. Peter’s Road, P.E.I. April 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie MacKenzie, Truro. Surviving are her son, Wayne Ash (Debbie), grandson, James (Cecelia) Ash; great-granddaughters, Sophia and Ella Grace; many nieces and nephews. Agnes was the last surviving member of the MacKenzie family and was predeceased by sisters, Linda MacKenzie, Truro, Emily Blaxland, PEI, Pearl Mehaffey, Pickering, On, Helena Gilby, Rexdale, On., May Warman, Lower Sackville and Gladys Rye, Lower Sackville; brothers, Peter, Scarborough, On., Freeman, Truro, Robert, Brampton, On. and Norman, Truro. Agnes worked as a Buyer/Manager for Simpsons for many years in Toronto before moving back to Nova Scotia where she worked her final position before retiring as a dispatcher for City police (Honeywell). She loved her family and spent her life caring for them all. She will be forever missed. To honour Agnes’s wishes there was no visitation or service. A private interment will take place at the Robie St. Cemetery in the spring of 2017.
