Marvin Charles Shatosky, age 80, of Swift Current SK, passed away on January 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., February 1, 2017 from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Julien officiating. The eulogy was read by his daughter, Robin Shatosky. The pallbearers were his sons, Rick Shatosky and Brett Shatosky, son-in-law, Darren Angell and grandsons, Kellan Angell, Cole Shatosky and Aaron McVicar. Marv is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty June Shatosky (nee Wall); children, Rick (Bev) Shatosky, Robin Shatosky, Cheryl McVicar, Tracy (Darren) Angell, and Brett Shatosky; siblings, Clarke (Helen) Shatosky, Garnet (Phyllis) Shatosky and Judy Shatosky; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Marv was predeceased by his grandparents, Karl and Lydia Shatosky, his parents, Adolph and Rosalie (Lockman) Shatosky, and brother, Eugene "Paddy" Shatosky. Marv was born June 30, 1936, in Swift Current SK. He attended school in Success SK, Hazel Dell SK and Moose Jaw Tech. Marv married Betty June Wall September 27, 1954, in Regina SK. Marv owned and operated Transport City Services Ltd. He was a past member of Jaycees. Marv enjoyed hunting and curling in oilmen's bonspiels. Lately, he also enjoyed watching all sports on TV. Marv enjoyed visiting his friends in Havre, Montana, and spent many years in his cabin at Lac Pelletier. Marv always appreciated a great joke; his sense of humour will be missed by all.
