Bob Fulwiler 1949-2017. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, uncle, and many other special roles in his extended family. Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. Life Tribute was given by Dana Fulwiler, with special music 'Man of the Hour', provided by Shane Volk and Dana Fulwiler. Reading given by Elaine Koroll. The ushers were Bob's friends, Brian Luchenski, Eliaja Lafontaine, Perry Durant, Larry Dudragne. Left to cherish his memory: wife, Judy; daughter, Lisa (Scott) and their son Rylan; daughter Dana (Shane); brother Bill; sister Beth English and family; sister Elaine (Ron) Koroll and family; father and mother-in-law Bill and Doris Jeffries; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, May and Ross Fulwiler, and brother Ken Fulwiler. Bob was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on July 6, 1949. He attended school and university in Saskatoon before moving to Vancouver, where he began his career in computers at Canada Safeway Head Office. On a visit back home to Saskatoon, Bob met and fell in love with Judy Jeffries. They were introduced by a mutual friend, and enjoyed their first date at a Kenny Rogers concert. They were married on May 5, 1973, and enjoyed a life near the beach in Vancouver until moving back to Saskatoon in 1977, and then to Swift Current with their two daughters in 1988. Bob worked for several computer companies in Saskatoon before taking a job with ACS in Swift Current. After nine years at ACS, Bob took a position with SaskTel and was a part of that organization until his retirement. He enjoyed getting to know his colleagues and has always taken pride in doing his best. SaskTel provided more than a job, it was a work family. Bob made meaningful friendships that he continued to cherish. Both before and after his official retirement, Bob always looked forward to the annual SaskTel golf tournament and catching up with friends from across the province. Bob was involved in many different sports throughout his life. He enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, golf, curling, earned numerous bowling trophies, and even worked as a dance instructor in Vancouver. When Bob wasn't playing sports, he was watching them. Everything from basketball, football, baseball, and hockey, to curling, tennis, and golf. TSN was often in the background of our home. Bob also loved to exercise his mind - whether it was reading a good book, solving a sudoku or newspaper puzzle, or sitting down for a competitive game of chess. He also found great joy in playing bridge every week with an amazing group of people. The bridge club meant a lot to Bob. Even through cancer treatments and the physical challenges that he faced, he was happy to see his friends and rarely missed a chance to play. Friends and family have many fond memories of his infectious, unmistakable laugh. Bob was gentle, kind, generous and patient. He made it clear through both words and actions that his family always came first. When Bob was with us, his family, he was present. He listened, he cared, he supported, he loved. Unconditionally. In memory of Bob, donations made to the Dr. Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
