Rose Jacobson
1926-2017
Rose, late of Sunset Extendicare in Regina, SK passed away peacefully at 91 years on Sunday, February 12th, 2017. Rose was born on January 14th, 1926 in Vonda, SK to Harry and Caroline Sloboda. She was one of thirteen children in her family growing up in Porcupine Plain, SK. Rose worked at Union Packing in Calgary, AB before meeting and marrying her late husband Leonard, on October 31st, 1953. In 1954 they began farming at Buffalo Horn (near Ponteix, SK), and in August 1958, they welcomed their daughter, Patricia Ann. In 1976 Rose and Leonard retired to Moose Jaw, SK and enjoyed some travelling and activities together until Leonard’s passing in 1994. Rose is predeceased by her husband Leonard and her siblings Helen Mike, Madeline, John, Emma and Joe. Rose is survived by her daughter Patricia (Keith), grandchildren; Jesse (Kayla), Brandon, and Tonya (Tommy) from Regina, SK, siblings; Mary, Annie, Jean, Bill, Barb, and Josephine, as well as nieces, nephews and families throughout Canada. At Rose’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, cremation has taken place and Rose and Leonard together will be taken home to the farm at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Arthritis Society, 1815 Lorne Avenues, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 1Y5. In living memory of Rose, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
