DOUCETTE, Marie Pauline – age 84 of Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Mame and grand-mere on February 15 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Wedgeport on September 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine (Cottreau) Boudreau. Marie was very active in the community, enjoying pastimes such as playing cards, line dancing, quilting and volunteering for various activities. She is survived by sons, Flavien (Gabrielle) Doucette, Martin (Lisa) Doucette and Darrell (Jenny) Doucette, as well as by her grandchildren, Tasha, Josée, Morgan, Renée and Brandon; a great grandson, Carter; a brother, Louis (Jacqueline) Boudreau. Aside from her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Laurent and her brother, Jean Martin “Jack” Boudreau. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Internment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
