NICKERSON, Cherlyn Louise “Cherrie” age 70, passed away on February 22, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 12, 1946 in Bridgewater she was a daughter to the late Moyle and Mable (Rhodenizer) Wagner. She will be forever missed by her daughters, Lisa Nickerson (Duane Stewart), Rhonda Nickerson; beloved grandson, Jordan Nickerson; sister, Brenda (John) Murphy; nephew, Kevin Murphy; niece, Alicia (Dave) MacGregor; great aunt to Riley, Rogan and Ella. She devoted her working years to caring for residents with special needs at Riverview Home and Harbourside Lodge. Mom enjoyed gardening, baking, and in her younger years she was an avid horseback rider. Cherrie will be remembered for her amazing strength and determination to conquer any obstacles she faced. She was a determined and strong willed woman who touched all that knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Safakish, Dr. Eissa and Dr. Riley. The family received visitors from 6-7 P.M on Saturday February 25, 2017 in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel where a celebration of her life took place immediately following the visitation, Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment will take place at a later date in Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Tri County V.O.N, N.S. Lung Association, or the S.P.C.A. We have not only lost our mom but our best friend.
