Georges LeBlanc of Ponteix SK, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on February 19, 2017, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, at the age of 92 years. Funeral mass was held February 24, 2017, at Notre Dame d'Auvergne Roman Catholic Church in Ponteix with Father Amédée Ainemon officiating. Georges was born October 19, 1924, in Assiniboia, SK. In 1953, he moved to Ponteix to work for the CPR where he met Stella LeBlanc (St.Cyr), his wife of 62 years. He will always be loved and remembered by Stella and his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Constance LeBlanc, infant son, Joseph, grandsons, Daniel and Michael LeBlanc, son-in-law, Ron Carson, siblings, Irene Myers, Joe LeBlanc, Lewis LeBlanc, in-laws, Real and Ghislaine St. Cyr, sister-in-law, Reina Gendreau and brother-in-law, Remi St.Cyr. Georges is survived by his wife, Stella LeBlanc, four children, Denis (Delores) LeBlanc, Dorian (Pat) LeBlanc, Gisele Goulet (Neil) and Rosanne Carson, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his sisters, Georgette Kearly, Mary Snelling, Margaret Pakulas, Susan Trudel and sister-in-law, Pat LeBlanc.
